Frequently Asked Questions
  • Can I purchase consumables?
    You can purchase swing sticks, dedicated stickers, and dedicated golf balls. If the required item is not on the sales list, please contact customer service.
  • warranty
    The warranty is for one year after purchase, after which it will transition to paid repairs.
  • Where can I download the user manual?
    You can download it by visiting www.squaregolf.com and accessing the support page.
  • The power is not turning on
    Check the battery charge status. If the battery is charged but the AC adapter is not connected when the device turns off, the battery may be faulty. Even if the device has not been used, the battery can drain over time. If the battery is fully discharged, connect the AC adapter to use the product or charge the battery. If the power does not turn on even when the AC adapter is connected, remove the battery, reconnect the AC adapter, turn on the power, and then reinstall the battery. If the battery is confirmed to be faulty and the issue is not resolved, please contact customer service for further assistance.
  • The device is not connecting to the PC
    If the device is not detected in the PC app or if you select the device but it doesn't connect, check the following steps : To connect the device, Bluetooth functionality that supports BLE is required. If the PC does not have built-in Bluetooth functionality, you will need to use a Bluetooth dongle. In the PC’s settings, go to the "Devices" menu and set Bluetooth to "On." If the settings were previously set to "Off," the automatic connection may be restricted. In this case, change the setting back to "On" and try again.
  • The connection between SQGHE and the app keeps disconnecting.
    To ensure a stable Bluetooth connection, make sure that the SQGHE and the paired device are not too far apart. If the connection is lost, the Bluetooth LED on the SQGHE will blink. You can reconnect by clicking the connected device's name in the app menu (screen). If the app enters sleep mode and the Bluetooth connection to the SQGHE is lost, you can reconnect through the app's menu. If the connection is not restored through the app, turn the power off and on for the SQGHE and reconnect through the app menu.
  • The aiming stick is not being recognized.
    Refer to the user manual and place the aiming stick in front of the SQGHE. The color of the floor mat must be distinct from the aiming stick. Additionally, there should be no brightly colored objects, like a golf ball, near the aiming stick. It may take up to 10 seconds for the aiming stick to appear on the app screen. To properly align the target direction, press OK or CANCEL in the aiming stick settings in the app once alignment is complete, and then remove the stick.
  • The measurement is not accurate.
    Ensure that there is no influence from direct sunlight or other infrared lighting, and that the SQGHE is placed at the same height as the golf ball. The color of the floor mat must be distinct from the color of the golf ball, and the golf ball must be within the ready area.
  • The golf ball is not being recognized.
    The app must be in a running state for the golf ball to be recognized, and the golf ball should be placed in the ready area as instructed by the app screen. If the SQGHE has not been used for a while, it may enter standby mode. Restart the app or return to the menu screen to recover and resume functionality. When recognizing the golf ball, a red infrared LED should light up in the center of the SQGHE. If this does not happen, please contact customer support.
  • The shot is not registerd.
    You should use a brightly colored golf ball and avoid using dark gray balls. Reflective materials in shoes or clothing may cause errors in golf ball recognition and measurement.
  • Club data is not being displayed.
    You need to attach the dedicated club sticker included in the package. Please refer to the user manual for instructions on how to attach it. If there is an excessive slice, hook, or a severe mishit, club data may not be displayed.
  • The swing stick is not being recognized.
    Set up the app to use the swing stick. The golf ball must be placed in the ready area. If there is no golf ball, the system will not switch to the stick recognition mode. Maintain an address (setup) posture that is consistent. The distance between the SQGHE and the stick should not be too far. If the golf ball is placed close to the SQGHE, ensure that the distance between the stick and the SQGHE is also maintained.
  • The swing using the swing stick is not being recognized.
    The swing must pass over the golf ball placed on the ground. If the swing goes beyond the ball's target range, it will not be recognized as a valid swing. The front of the stick should be facing the impact zone. If not, the clubface may be too open or closed, and the swing will not be properly recognized. Unnatural swings may not be recognized. The distance between the SQGHE and the stick should not be too far. If the golf ball is placed close to the SQGHE, ensure the distance between the stick and the SQGHE is maintained as well.
  • Spin rate is not being recognized.
    If you are not using a dedicated golf ball, you need to attach the included sticker to the golf club. The dedicated golf ball is a consumable, and the printed markings may wear out due to impact, but it can be repurchased.
  • The game is lagging or unstable.
    Check the internet connection status of the simulation device during use. Using a low-performance device may slow down the app's processing speed. In this case, try adjusting the graphics quality settings.
  • The app keeps crashing or freezing, what should I do?
    Check the internet connection status of the PC, laptop, tablet or phone. Generally, devices released before 2019 using lower spec may affect the app’s performance. In this case please lower the graphic quality settings or a more up to date device.
